As usual we’ve planned too much with what feels like waaay too little time to get everything done before we leave - it’s always the way and it’s absolutely freeeezing! Check our stories for some of the carnage we’ve created 😂 On the plus side though everyone’s pictures and stories from a gloriously snowy alps is helping us to power through! About this time next week we’ll be there! ❄️ #prayforsnow #powderdaysontheway

Little van looking considerably more put-together than it is right now under a layer of sanding dust 😬 It’s looking at photos like this when I wonder why we decided to make any changes at all but hopefully it’ll all be worth it! We nearly have our new water boiler fitted (hot water for the first time in nearly a year since our old one froze in the alps!) most things are sanded, we’ve cut the foam for our new extended bench seat and lots of other little jobs I can’t think of right now! Fingers crossed we make it in time for the 17th when we head to France! 🇫🇷

Heading out biking a few weeks back on one of our local trails in Wales, the autumn colours of the trees were amazing! 🌲 We’re back home now and trying to get bits done on the van, unfortunately the weather isn’t helping much as it’s awful - nothing more depressing than working on a van in the rain! We’ve got a few things sanded though and the back taken out to neaten up all the electrics/water boiler etc and refix to the ‘garage’ wall once we’ve removed the scruffy old ply of the wall and recladded it 🔨

Glorious day a few weeks back, going to miss you Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Last day of work tomorrow for me (Al finished Sunday) then we’re back up North for our van jobs etc. Weird mix of excitement and feeling so sad to leave. We’ll be back though ☺️

Still here! Things are just hectic with finishing Christmas paintings, getting ready to leave, and other bits and bobs. Gus is back to his normal pesky self after his op and we’re working hard on the little rats recall (some days getting there, others nowhere near!) This time next week will be my last day at work and then we’ll be off up north for a bit to do all our van fixes and see the fam, it’s all come around so quick - and with pics of Morzine today and the snow that’s happening we’re getting veeeery excited! 🌨 Completely unrelated pic to all that but here’s a lovely peaceful spot in Norway when things were a bit slower paced than they are at the moment! 🇳🇴

As some of you might have seen Gus went to the vets today to be neutered 😬 Poor lad was utterly traumatised at being left and I’ve never felt so guilty, I had to be taken into the back to pick him up too as he was to scared to come out of the cage and he’s just finally dropped off to sleep after trembling in his bed. Hoping so much that it’ll help him to chill out a bit among other things otherwise we’re feeling a bit like we might never forgive ourselves (slightly over dramatic perhaps! 😂) Sure he’ll be back to himself in no time but for now he’s wrapped in a blanket with a hot water bottle feeling very sorry for himself. I’m pretty sure Syl doesn’t understand what all the fuss is about as she was unbelievably chilled about her whole spay process and still likes to drag me into the vets she loves it there so much 😂 For now here’s a slightly more cheerful photo of tiny Gus racing round his first beach, Syl keeping a close eye on shenanigans as per! ♥️
